privacy.
almost sent is a joke generator. Here's exactly what happens to what you paste.
what's kept
The line you paste is sent to an AI provider to write the draft, and
a copy is stored so we can improve future drafts. Before it's stored,
anything that looks like a phone number or an email address is
replaced with [phone] or [email] — that
scrubbing is best-effort, not a guarantee, so still don't paste
someone's full name, number, or other identifying details.
If you enter the contest, we keep your line, the text it answered, and your email if you gave one. Lines are shown on the wall only if you checked the box. We may use entered lines to improve the app's responses. Delete a line or your email by contacting info@almostsent.app.
We don't keep your name — the app never asks for one.
for how long
30 days. A nightly job deletes anything older than that automatically.
training
we don't use your text to train anything. the text is sent through OpenRouter to whichever model providers are serving the request — currently OpenAI for most of the lines you see, and Nebius (serving Nous Hermes) for the raunchy and gross ones. see openrouter.ai/privacy.
anonymous usage
The app also logs anonymous interaction events — a random id generated in your browser, which button you tapped, and small structured details like which joke "shape" it was. Never the text of what you pasted or wrote, and never anything tied to your identity.
age
18+. The jokes are crude on purpose.
